Home sweet home

Austria is beautiful. We've realized that before but as we are at home now I can see it clearly. I am sitting in a suspicious silent and modern inter city express train. It feels weird. Traveling 2nd class feels more like 1st class or even better, basically the best transport I had in the last 15 months. I am going from Annelieses home region in Lower Austria (Eastern Austria) to Vorarlberg (Western Austria) near Switzerland where I am from. The train glides through green fresh grassland, hilly corn fields, pine forests and other trees, passing beautiful cities and crossing clear fresh rivers. I can spot some clouds along the mountains and deers along the fields. No starvation, none of the rivers is polluted. The air smells fresh, the same flavours that my nose recognizes as home.
Here there really exist correct policemen. Rape is a serious crime and goes to court, not an all day amusement. No bandits on the roadside, no Kalaschnikow (AK 47), no weapons at all.
Austria our home, without a doubt the safest country I know. And we don't take that for granted anymore, just as the fact that you can drink the water from the tap. We are happy to be born where we were born: in a beautiful, secure and social part of the world!
But for all that our desire for seeing the world isn't yet satisfied.

The Seychelles

If you are working hard and all you wanna gain is relaxation then you will find yourself in paradise once you set foot on one of the islands. We spent most of our time on "La Digue", the 3rd "biggest" island of the Seychelles. Transports are either going by foot, bicycle or sometimes by oxcart. The only noise that you will hear is the sound of the ocean.
Bouldering wasn´t that what we hoped to be but if you really want to climb, only then you will find bouldering. Most of the time I found a good looking line, the landing was terrible, impossible to spot, even if you would have more spotters and pads. To sum up: the landing is horrible, the rock fragile and the temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius with humidity from the rainforest. The boulders look good, on pictures. That´s it.
And so I went fishing, that was successful and fun because I never knew what I was catching next ... trompetfish again or stingray this time? What else? Lonely beaches, nice snorkeling, turtles are as common and usual in the sea as on the island. And every day fresh fish and other seafood. Another unnecesarry information: the male landturtle has a concave belly otherwise it could not breed with the female! nice ha ;).

Our last resort!

Hi there! We are leaving South Africa but we will be back for sure. This time leaving a country is somehow different. We will already be on our way back home! But we have one last resort as a little bonus before we reach Austria - our beautiful home. You'll see ;). At home we will probably (unfortunately) have to work again, to finance our next world trip!?

Diavortrag findet am 24. und zusätzlich (!) am 25. Oktober statt!

Oh jessas! Ich habe gerade gesehen, dass wir sogar schon einen richtigen Flyer fuer unsere Diashow haben. Das macht mich dann schon a bissal nervoes! Dann wirds also echt ernst.
